What happens when we think something out of our minds? What happens when we stop sharing the negative emotional state and get on with the day in day out with the same thought? In this article we are going to discuss about how emotions will carry the power over health. How negative emotions and traumas will effect on depression.  Is that easy to get rid of negative thoughts, what happens when we are carrying our emotional mental garbage? Most of the time people carry their mental baggage all the way to sleep. They start over thinking on those issues, which not in their control. They will get in to suppressed mode.

Freud(1900) demonstrated a technique which makes it potential to interpret dreams and dreams reveal itself as a psychological structure by observing that one can assigned to a specific place in the psychic activities of the waking state.

There is chance to get nightmares which is caused by psychological disturbances in adults and kids. ( http://dreampsychology.in/sigmund-freud-thoughts-on-dreamwork/) For example nervousness and depression may cause adult nightmares. Parental issues may cause the night mares in kids. If they have lack of love and attention from the parents it leads social stigma they always wants to be alone or behavior problems may occur all this psychological traumas and insecurities turn in to nightmares.

Hartmann (1998) explored origin of dreams; he integrated the psychology of the psyche with the biology of the brain. He come across  the cause of dreams, representing that they are neither insignificant nor simple wish fulfillment, but a biological and psychological procedure triggered by inner forces. He states nightmares experienced subsequent distressing events and analyzes dreams that occur during times of stress. He also examines everyday dreams and expresses that dreams as well as nightmares contribute to a fundamental pattern.

In the year (2007) Yu studied on emotions before and after during the sleep on Chinese people. In this study one hundred Chinese people participated, they shared their cheerful emotions including interest, exhilaration, and enjoyment, were pervasive in the collected dreams, even though anxiety was also a frequent type of emotion. Positive correlations were established between the intensities of dream, pre and post sleep emotions.

When we suppress our waking thoughts it may turn in to night mares. Depressed people tend to get more dreams because they suppress their emotions and it will regulate in to dreams. They express every suppressed emotion through dreaming. Cartwright (1991) conducted a research 49 people and he studied their dreams. In this sample 23 women and 26 men are there, during this study they are into initial-break up and one year later. From this sample who are depressed more they see their ex-spouses in their dreams, they expressed strong stressful feelings. Who are depressed they moved on with their life, their dreams are filled with Fantasy and day to day activities.

Conclusion:  To come out of negative emotions need to focus on mindfulness. Whenever person in negative state of mind he needs to share the issues with kith and kin. If they are not available need to consult a psychological professional. All suppressed thoughts and emotions leads to depression. At times it express through dreams, in few circumstances it may not divulge through dreams. Based on our dreams also we can focus on our mental health issues.
